Radio Controlled Flying Models

Last updated 20 October 2001

Are there any flying F-111 models out there?

Brad Martin and Mr Milne hope to have a 1/12 scale (1820mm or 72inch long) model ready for flight by August this year.  They plans to utilise a 'Ramtect OS90' fan for power.  Brad started his F-111 model by taking a cast of an old display F-111 at Amberley.  From the cast, fiberglass moulds were made.  Significant improvements were made from the original display F-111 (probably from GD in 1973) to better represent the actual shape of an F-111C.  As a point of interest, Brad is considering making non-flying static fiberglass models for sale.  These would probably cost in the order of $AUD600.   Standby for details, and a first flight report.
