The module is currently in owned by a 'private collector' in Holland who has been collection pieces to reconstruct it as a simulator (using the EPIC PC card and Microsoft Flight Sim. The collector bought the module from the DRMO in 1994. He believes it was used as a procedures trainer and an airshow exhibit probably in Upper Heyford from 1982 to 1994. Parts still required include the two control sticks, the Pave Tack panel, a TIT indicator, two spring loaded pins which go into the headrest to push them forward as you press the headrest adjustment lever, and the rubber viewing hood for the VID. The collector is also interested in the Altimeter and Mach indicator Amplifier boxes (ASK -14/A24G18 or ASK-25/A24G26 to drive the AMI., and ASK-13/A24G17 for the AVVI), and the electronic box to drive the ODS. Please email flight_sim@F-111.net if you can help with any of the items.
